JÉRÉMY MATHIEU
Jérémy Mathieu (born 29 October 1983) is a French professional football player who plays for Spanish club FC Barcelona with the number 24.
Mainly a central defender, he can also play as a left back.
He is 1.89m tall and nowadays he is 31 years old.
Firstly he started playing in the team Sochaux; then he went to the great team Toulouse.
Sochaux is a team from the LEAGUE 1(France league), and the Toulouse also.
Then he went to the Spanish Valencia great team and after that he decided to go to the F.C. Barcelona and the cost of the transfer was €20 million and the buyout clause was set at €50 million.
F.C. Barcelona and Valencia are from the BBVA Spanish league, one of the most importants leagues in the world.
He started playing football since he was young, but he started playing professionally in 2000, in the Sochaux team.
On 15 January 2015, he scored his first goal for Barça in a 4–0 against Elche.
